Gold Beach
Gold Beach is located in Curry County on U.S. Highway 101 north of Brookings. The city was incorporated in 1948. Discovery of gold in the sands of the Rogue River prompted its name.
Today, Gold Beach is a sport fishing mecca that offers camping, hiking and other nearby recreational activities. It is situated at the mouth of the mighty Rogue River, where many visitors enjoy mail and jet boat rides and hooking giant salmon.
